While revealing photos of Fox in various stages of undress have been the norm lately, Google searches for Megan Fox iPhone is becoming almost as popular as Megan Fox naked.

The geekish fantasy goes something like this; Megan Fox (Hot), Megan Fox in bikini or lingerie (Even Hotter) and posing with an iPhone (Smoking Hot) with flames shooting out.

This satirical image makes a sweet iPhone wallpaper when positioned correctly.

The relationship between cellphones and music has almost always been a quirky one, producing bouts of the surreal punctuated by an occasional flourish of the sublime. Latest to join the melodic fray are Georg Essl from the University of Michigan and his “mobile phone ensemble.”

Each of the participating students has designed a noise-making app for his or her iPhone, which is used in conjunction with the built-in accelerometer and touchscreen to make (hopefully beautiful) music.

Though we may consider this a gimmick for now, Professor Essl is most enthusiastic about the future prospects of utilizing smartphones to make music with legitimate aspirations. You can check out a preview in the video below.

Fortune Magazine has declared Steve Jobs ‘CEO of the Decade’ publishing a detailed report of his successes.

How’s this for a gripping corporate story line: Youthful founder gets booted from his company in the 1980s, returns in the 1990s, and in the following decade survives two brushes with death, one securities-law scandal, an also-ran product lineup, and his own often unpleasant demeanor to become the dominant personality in four distinct industries, a billionaire many times over, and CEO of the most valuable company in Silicon Valley.

The article takes a look at Jobs history with Apple, where the company is now, and what the future holds. Much of this information has been heard many times but it is still an interesting read.

After creating more than $150 billion in shareholder wealth, transforming movies, telecom, music, and computing (and profoundly influencing the worlds of retail and design), what should Steve Jobs do next? Given his penchant for secrecy and surprise and his proven brilliance, it’s a fair bet that he’ll let us know when he’s good and ready.

Whenever you’re on the Web, chances are there’s someone looking to take advantage of you. We know it and you know it. Still, many people browse the Internet as if there are no threats to their security, blissfully ignorant of the many ways they leave themselves vulnerable — especially to crimes such as ID theft or financial theft.

1. Don’t buy from unfamiliar sites.

Mistake: Say a Web site you’ve never heard of has great deals on stuff you want. You think you’ve found the bargain of a lifetime. The problem is, you have no idea who you’re dealing with.

Solution: Since you’re giving them personal and financial information, you should at least make sure you’re sending the info over a secure connection. ‘Consumer Reports’ recommends having a separate credit card solely for online shopping, so you can review your purchases and protect against fraud.

2. Don’t do any important financial transactions on a public computer.

Mistake: Doing anything with sensitive data or passwords on a public or shared computer is just asking for trouble. There’s a chance you’re forgetting to log out of an account or leaving info in the browser history that could compromise your safety. Not to mention the fact that people can always look over your shoulder while you’re paying the bills.

Solution: Besides not doing your banking online in public, you should probably also not buy anything in public, since that requires entering credit card information. Also, get into the habit of erasing anything you do on a public or shared computer, no matter how mundane.

3. Don’t be gullible.

Mistake: You get e-mails saying you’ve won the lottery, something’s wrong with your bank account, Britney Spears is dead, a hitman is going to kill you, etc.. Chances are these are e-mail spam, malware, or someone else looking to rip you off.

Solution: Be skeptical of everything. Things that are too good to be true usually are and shocking things of the magnitude seen in spam rarely happen to anyone, anywhere, ever. Delete it and move on with your life.

4. Don’t open attachments from strangers.

Mistake: Opening e-mail attachments from anyone you don’t know, no matter how trustworthy they seem. There was a rash of fake UPS emails that asked people to look at an attached invoice that turned out to be a virus.

Solution: Never open any attachment unless it’s something you’ve specifically requested from someone you know. If a company sends you one unexpectedly, call it up and see what’s going on. Again, skepticism can save you here.

5. Don’t click on pop-up ads.

Mistake: Like spam emails, pop-ups – those little Web windows that open up automatically alongside your browser — are either trying to sell you crap or trying to pass as something legit. You should know that. The problem is, people still click on them, even if they think they’re saying “no” to a special offer.

Solution: Hit the X in the upper right hand corner (or the red button on the left-hand side on a Mac), making sure that it’s the X of your browser window and not one in the ad. Even if it says “close this window,” clicking on it leaves your computer susceptible to infection. Be sure to enable the pop-up blocker on your browser — all browsers nowadays come with one.

6. Don’t rely on your browser for safety.

Mistake: People assume that their browser, since it came with their computer and has all sorts of security prompts, is perfectly safe. False.

Solution: Use a more secure browser like Firefox and Opera, and make sure to regularly check for security updates. Check the news to stay up to date on phishing schemes, which are evolving all the time.

7. Don’t download free software unless it’s from a trusted site.

Mistake: People see a cool new program or download what they think is a safe program from an untrusted site (essentially, any site you’ve never heard of). You’re just asking for malware here.

Solution: If you really want a program, go to sites such as the CNET/Switched Downloads area or TK to see if they have it. If they don’t, hold off. If they do, get it from them.

8. Don’t let your computer’s built-in computer tools get out-of-date.

Mistake: You did the right thing by getting some antivirus and spyware protection. The problem is, you never update it, you let your subscription run out, or you never run it.

Solution: Make sure that your program is set to automatically retrieve updates and scan your computer constantly. In 2008, malware was three times as prevalent as it was in 2007 on the ‘Net, so make sure you’re always up to date. If you’re not sure, go and check when your last update happened. Either you’ve got the wrong settings, your software is messed up, or you need to renew your subscription.

9. Don’t use the same password for more than one site or account.

Mistake: You’re using the same password for all of your online accounts. Would you use one key for everything in your life? No.

Solution: We’ve warned you about this before. Vary your passwords, even slightly if you think you’ll have trouble remembering them, with different combinations of letters, numbers, and punctuation. Don’t use anything that’s easy to guess either, and, if you can, make your passwords as long as you can.

10. Don’t post personal information on public sites.

Mistake: You think you can trust people on social-networking sites and forums, so you post personal data. Even if you think your privacy settings are protecting you, there are ways around them. This is identity theft central.

Solution: Just don’t do it. Haven’t you heard enough horror stories about this? If you really must put yourself out there, make sure you have the highest privacy settings possible and you reveal nothing that can be used to steal your identity or shame you.

11. Don’t transmit personal data in a public Wi-Fi hotspot.

Mistake: You’re working on your own computer, which nobody else has access to, on a public Wi-fi network, so you think you’re safe. Unfortunately, it’s easy for hackers to intercept anything you’re doing over the Internet (especially if they’re sitting next to you!).

Solution: Make sure you set your firewall set to a higher than normal strength level, encrypt any sensitive data, and don’t stay logged on when you’re not using the computer. Lastly, whatever you do, avoid transmitting anything financial or personal while in a public Wi-Fi hotspot.

12. Don’t trust people you’ve never met in person.

Mistake: You’ve exchanged e-mails with someone about meeting for a date or doing some kind of transaction and you start to trust them. You still have no idea who they are.

Solution: If you’re buying something from Craigslist, then meet in person and always insist on paying with cash, since credit cards can easily be hacked. For eBay, check over the seller’s info and ratings. If you’re meeting for a date or a casual encounter, then meet in a public place before you end up getting robbed or stuffed in their freezer.

When the real, physical offer letter and associated paperwork arrived, I was highly amused to see that it has the same graceful design, fit and finish that they devote to many of their products. So I thought it deserved the same sort of review that their other products might get.

The lack of anything but the logo on the outside of the envelope is understated. It simply says: “You know who we are. You know what this is.”
